Gianluca Petrachi, ds del Torino, ha parlato ai microfoni di Sky Sport a pochi minuti dalla discesa in campo della squadra di Baroni contro il Sassuolo: "Ho raccontato ai ragazzi le mie verità. Quando arrivai al Torino da calciatore, inizialmente non avevo capito cosa significasse questa maglia; l'ho compreso appieno solo anni dopo, da direttore sportivo. Ho cercato di trasferire alla squadra il concetto che la maglia granata ha un valore mistico, che va oltre il semplice calcio. Ai tifosi del Toro puoi perdonare un errore tecnico, ma non la mancanza di impegno o di abnegazione: voglio un gruppo coeso che dia tutto fino all'ultima goccia di sudore. Cagliari-Pisa? Direi un buon pareggio per noi"
L'analisi tecnica e il cambio di modulo:
"Da spettatore esterno avevo percepito qualche squilibrio tra ciò che si voleva fare e ciò che si stava effettivamente realizzando; il cambio di modulo ne è stata la testimonianza lampante. Ora la squadra ha trovato la propria identità con il 3-5-2, un sistema voluto dall'allenatore. Il mio compito ora è lavorare su questa base, cercando di apportare piccole modifiche e fare meno danni possibili".
Sul mercato:
"In difesa interverremo sicuramente, anche a fronte delle assenze per la Coppa d'Africa. Marianucci? È un profilo molto interessante, un giovane che sta facendo benissimo. Tuttavia, oltre alle qualità tecniche, cerco un requisito specifico: non voglio giocatori di passaggio. Mi piacerebbe che chi arriva restasse a lungo, perché è solo così che si può instaurare quel rapporto di appartenenza fondamentale per il Torino".
